EMS Barbershop was founded in 2019 by Edgar Maganda, and it is built around a collection of restored barber chairs — some of them dating back to the early twentieth century. The chairs are the first thing you notice: oxblood leather, tufted backs, engraved brass footrests. They set the tone for everything else.

What happens in them is straightforward, careful barbering. Every haircut is finished properly — a straight-razor neck shave, a hot towel, a splash of aftershave, product worked in before you get up. Beard work is done with a hot towel and a straight razor. Shaves are full ear-to-ear, the traditional way.

Both shops are places people stay a few extra minutes: a complimentary drink, a conversation, an unhurried cut. Walk-ins are welcome at either location, and appointments are recommended.
